【Research Paper Award】
Online applications for this award are open now. If you are a member of faculty or medical staff, and you wish to apply for this award, please document the required information about your research and submit a PDF file of the reprint of your published paper, patent certificate, or conference paper on the Research Paper Award Application system. All faculty and medical staff members are encouraged to make the application!
1. This award is available to online applications only. Please convert all electronic copies of the reprint of your published paper, patent certificate, or conference paper into PDF files and merge them with the IRB, IACUC or Gene recombination experiment approval letter into one file (the file size must be smaller than 5 MB, and the file name must be in English) before uploading.
2. Please log in to the Research Paper Award Application System by using your TMU E-mail(@tmu.edu.tw) account and password. For those who do not have a TMU E-mail account, please register one on the Office of Information Technology Email Account Application System.
Medical staff members from the five affiliated hospitals (Taipei Medical University Hospital, Wanfang Hospital, Shuang-Ho Hospital and Hsin Kuo Min Hospital) may register a new account under their hospital email address.

Annual Research Achievement Award
To recognize faculty members with excellent research practices, this university establishes the Annual Research Achievement Award; the award winner will receive a certificate of merit.
Number of awards available: 1
Criteria for review: Items eligible for application for this award are all research results (including papers, patents, and research projects published in 2024; for research projects, only those in which the applicant is the principal investigator and whose project periods starts in 2024 will be recognized), experiences of serving as a chairperson or guest speaker in international conferences, and awards received.
Required materials: Application form, published papers (with documents proving the Web of Science ranking of published papers), patent certificates, research plan approval certificates, international conference invitation letters, award-winning documents. As recognition of young researchers’ in-depth research and prominent contribution in the academia, this university establishes the Young Researchers Award; the award winner will receive a prize of NT$ 100,000 and a certificate of merit.
Applicant eligibility: full-time faculty members aged less than 40 years with a rank of associate professor or lower and medical staff members aged less than 40 years in the affiliated hospitals.
Criteria for review: The applicant must have, within the past three years, published three original research papers under the university’s name (the applicant cannot make application under degree thesis/dissertation or reuse a paper to make application for more than once) and served as the first or corresponding author for three papers. In addition, various research results (including patents and research plans published in 2022-2024) are attached (only projects that serve as moderators are recognized, and the starting date of project execution is 2022/01/01-2024/12/31) , Invited to participate in international conferences as chairpersons or give speeches and awards.

1. Reward for most cited paper
As recognition of faculty members whose published papers (under the TMU’s name) have received citation counts exceeding a certain standard, this university offers a monetary prize. The award applicant must be the first or corresponding author of the papers; the papers must have been published under the university’s name, published within the past 10 years (2015 onwards), and cited for at least 40 times within the past five years (2020 onwards). This reward is open to online applications only. Please convert the reprint of your published paper, proof of citation counts, and data regarding the citing articles into a single PDF file (the file size must be smaller than 5 MB , and the file name must be in English) before uploading.

2. Reward for citing TMU papers
This university offers a monetary prize for journal papers that have been published under the university’s name in the current year (2024) that have cited more than 10 papers published under the university’s name (excluding self-citations). The applicant must be the first author or corresponding author of the paper, and the reward is open to online applications only. Please convert the reprint of your published paper and data regarding citations into a single PDF file (the file size must be smaller than 5 MB, and the file name must be in English) before uploading.

3. Reward for most cited paper (not first or corresponding author)
As recognition of faculty members whose published papers have received citation counts exceeding a certain standard, this university offers a monetary prize. The applicant must not be the first or corresponding author of the paper; the paper must have been published under the university’s name, published within the past 10 years (2014 onwards), and cited for more than 60 times within the past five years (2019 onwards). The reward is open to online applications only. Please convert the reprint of your published paper, proof of citation counts, and data regarding the citing articles into a single PDF file (the file size must be smaller than 5 MB, and the file name must be in English) before uploading.

Description: The university offers a prize of NT$ 5,000 for collaborative papers published in the current year (2024) with foreign institutions, in which the foreign research institution serves as the first or corresponding author and the reward applicant holds a coauthor position. (This does not count toward the maximum of 10 papers for each applicant.)

Description: For monographs that have been published in the current year (textbooks and proceedings not included) and recommended by the college of the applicant or Center For General Education after review and approval. A cowritten monograph may be used to apply for the reward once; specifically, a monograph may not be reused for reward application for more than once even by other cowriters or with the use of different sections from the monograph. Please submit one completed Monograph Reward Application Form along with proof documents of the monograph’s archive in database.

The reward is open to online applications only. Please convert the Monograph Reward Application Form, monograph (chapters), and proof documents of archive in database into a single PDF file (the file size must be smaller than 5 MB, and the file name must be in English) before uploading. For a monograph with two or more authors, the application shall be made under the monograph category; the authors shall not make separate applications using different sections of the monograph under the monograph chapter category. The maximum reward for an application made under the monograph chapter category is the amount of reward granted for an application made under the monograph category.
